Why Carbonic Heat?

Technology

There are two main types of electric radiant heat.

The traditional system uses wire technology. The contractor installs a hot wire on the subfloor, and covers the wire with thinset. Unfortunately, there are gaps between the wires, and the wires have to get extremely hot to be able to heat the spaces between the wires. The result can be higher operating costs and uneven heat across the floor. Also, if the wire gets nicked or cut anywhere in the room, the entire system goes dead until the break is repaired. Finally, a wire- based system usually resylts in a higher floor since the wire has to be covered with additional thinset.

Carbonic Heat uses a much better technology- Carbon Fiber. Our innovative design using carbon fiber produces even heat across the entire surface of the heating panels. And because Carbonic Heat operates at a much lower temperature, we use much less electricity than wire based systems. Carbonic Heat is also as thin as a business card, so the height buildup to the floor is minimal. Durability is also a huge plus. Since there are no hot wires running through the heating panels, it is very unlikely that a contractor will accidentally damage the system.

Other Benefits

Carbonic Heat is silent, unlike forced hot air systems. There are no drafts, no odors or fumes, no allergens, and no dust. We use state of the art thermostats, so the room temperature remains consistent. Carbonic Heat can be installed under a wide variety of flooring, including porcelain and ceramic tile, luxury vinyl, laminate, engineered wood, and stone. Carbonic Heat is the only electric radiant heat system that can be safely installed under nail-down hardwood floors.

Cement Subfloors

I you are considering radiant heat in a basement, Carbonic Heat is the solution for you. We will install a layer of high quality polypropeline insulation before we put in the heating system. The insulation helps to insure that all of the heat from the heating panels goes up into the floor and room, and not down into the cement slab.

Factory Trained Staff

All of our installers have been certified by the Carbonic Heat factory.

We Make The Process Simple
